In a landmark deal for women’s sport, BetMGM has signed an official partnership with the New York Liberty, becoming the first sports betting operator to team up with a women’s pro franchise in the US.
The agreement sees BetMGM named as an official betting partner of the WNBA team, marking a major step forward in the visibility and commercial backing of women’s leagues.
As part of the multi-year deal, BetMGM will receive branding across Liberty marketing channels, in-arena signage at the Barclays Center, and digital integration through both team and league assets.

WNBA Commissioner Cathy Engelbert called it a “milestone moment,” while BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt said the deal reinforces the company’s commitment to expanding its reach in diverse and emerging areas of sport.
BetMGM has previously partnered with several NBA, NHL, and NFL teams—but this marks the first time a major US betting brand has invested directly into women’s sport at the franchise level.
The move follows a broader trend of growing interest and betting volume in women’s leagues, with WNBA viewership and handle figures climbing year on year.
